All-In and Individual College Sports Communicators Memberships — Renew now for 2023-24
The Two-Year Sports Information Directors of America (2YSIDA) have announced its annual publications awards winners with honorees coming from 12 different institutions around the country for 2022-23.
There were nearly 250 total entries in seven different categories in the competition this year with 34 garnering recognition with awards.
Indian Hills, led by Sports Information Director
Bryan Stewart and Assistant Athletic Director
Ricky Webster led the pack with nine total awards including four first place entries. The team of
Roy Allen and
Jay Daubenberger at Florida SouthWestern garnered five awards while
Tyler Norman led Butler to four this year. Overall 12 different institutions brought home awards including 9 of the 12 winning multiple awards.
Stewart and Indian Hills won top honors in all three graphic design categories including Gameday Graphics, Social Media Graphics, and Posters. The Warriors also topped the Media Guide category. Madison College took home first place honors in the Video Feature category with their work from
Adam Eichstedt and
Jeremy Van Mill on their Title IX 50
th Anniversary piece. Florida SouthWestern earned top billing in two categories including Game Notes and Creative Writing.
2YSIDA, which enters it’s 10
th year in 2023-2024 is made up of Athletic Communications members from across the country, encompassing members from all three two-year National organizations (NJCAA, 3C2A, NWAC). In recent years, 2YSIDA has aided in the development of the College Division for the Academic All-America program, as well as providing Convention Grants, Sports Information Director of the Month Awards, as well as holding it’s own Publications Contests.
