Fifth year of the program includes a program-record 21 participants
Now in its fifth year, the CSC Inclusion Fellowship is an educational series for select members of CSC designed to provide insights into issues around inclusive best practices, values and opportunities for communication and creative professionals in college athletics. The program aims to foster a deeper understanding of how individuals in athletic communications offices at all levels become effective advocates for inclusion in college athletics, as well as how to better support student-athletes, coaches and fellow administrators at the campus, conference, and national levels.
The 2025-26 theme of the Fellowship is “Advocacy Through Adversity.” The year-long cohort, which includes a program-record 21 participants, features dynamic speakers headlining monthly virtual meetings geared to equip participants with practical and tangible strategies to better serve their constituents.
The program kicked off in September and culminates at the association’s 2026 CSC Unite in Las Vegas where the Fellows will be recognized and assist in executing the convention’s inclusion-based programming.
“This Fellowship is one of the most impactful initiatives we have for our CSC members. It says a great deal about our leadership and I am very proud of our organization for remaining committed to this educational opportunity in today’s climate,” said Scottie Rodgers, CSC Inclusion Fellowship co-founder, CSC Inclusion Committee chair and vice president of communications at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. “Building culture and fostering community remain at the core of who we are as CSC and we will focus on this through the conversations, learning and sharing our Fellows will experience this year.”
Program faculty will include highly regarded thought leaders from within college athletics and outside the industry. The program is administered by members of the CSC Inclusion Committee.
“We are proud to welcome the 2025-26 class of the CSC Inclusion Fellowship,” said Executive Director Jason Yaman. “This exceptional group of dynamic professionals represents the best of our industry — bringing diverse voices, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to advancing inclusion in sports communications. The work done annually by this group only strengthens the future of our profession. We look forward to supporting their growth and celebrating their contributions throughout the year ahead.”
In the first four years of the Fellowship, more than 60 CSC members have participated in this transformative program that is an industry leader in offering inclusion-centric educational opportunities.
