Will Prewitt, Great American Conference Commissioner: "Scott is the consummate professional whether it's handling publicity for Harding or serving as a sounding board for our staff and others in the GAC. I appreciate his great work over the years at Harding. It's always a pleasure to visit with Scott during visits to Harding. Congratulations on a stellar 25 years to date!"
Dr. Patrick McGaha, Harding University Head Baseball Coach: "Scott is an exceptional SID, but an even more remarkable person! His professionalism is unmatched, yet he always goes above and beyond to add a personal touch to every interaction. Over my 24 years in college athletics, I have yet to encounter a better SID at the D2 level. It has truly been a privilege to work alongside him at Harding University and to call him my friend. His passion for the Harding athletic department is evident in everything he does, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him on our team."
Nathan Looney, Harding University Assistant Sports Information Director: "Scott Goode is a pillar of exceptional leadership within the Harding University athletic department, and his impact extends far beyond his role. As a mentor, he has made a lasting impression on me and numerous coaches, offering guidance and wisdom that has shaped our careers. What truly sets Scott apart is his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand, whether supporting fellow sports information directors through professional challenges or being a steady presence during personal struggles. Through thick and thin, I'm honored to call him not only a colleague but a true friend."

Goode on his career…
No one makes it in this business without the help of outstanding support staff. For me at Harding that has come from three amazing assistants, dozens of wonderful student workers, my wife Cassie, and my two daughters. I feel very blessed to do a job that almost never felt like work.
Goode's advice to young sports communicators...
The most important attribute for young sports communications professionals is versatility, and that starts with a solid foundation in statistics and communication. Before you ever apply for a job in sports information, make sure you know how to keep a scorebook.
