Winners to be announced on stage in Orlando at #CSCUnite25

GOLDEN, Colorado — The College Sports Communicators Creative & Digital Design Contest committee is pleased to announce the finalists for its 2024-25 portfolio contests in the categories of Designer, Photographer and Videographer of the Year.

Winners of these contests will be announced live on-stage during the Special Awards Luncheon at #CSCUnite25 on Wednesday, June 11 at the World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.

“Once again, the full creativity of the CSC membership is on full display with the turnout for our portfolio contests this year,” said contest chair Patrick Murphy of the Colorado School of Mines. “With continued interest in the Designer and Photographer of the Year contests going into their third year and the introduction of Videographer of the Year this year, we saw 173 entries in these contests from all levels of the membership. Along with going into the second year of recognizing these contest winners at convention, interest in the Creative & Digital Design Contest continues to skyrocket as we strive to showcase the immense creative talent of the CSC membership.”

In the second year of the CSC portfolio contests, five individuals are repeat finalists including Lukas Heydt, Zach Wooldridge, Malloreigh Yingling, Brittany Iamele and Caroline Gerke. For the second consecutive year, Air Force has members named as finalists for both Designer of the Year and Photographer of the Year in the University Division. In the College Division, MSU Moorhead makes a repeat appearance in the Designer of the Year contest while Lynchburg and Eckerd do so in the Photographer of the Year contest. A total of 25 schools and/or conferences are represented by the finalist group and includes entries from across the CSC membership.

The finalists are:

University Division includes all entries from NCAA Division I. College Division includes all non-NCAA Division I entries. For the College Division, “Best Of” honors will be bestowed upon the top finishers from each subdivision also based on the number of entries received.

Videographer of the Year is a new honor included in the CSC Creative & Digital Design Contests for 2024-25. There were 173 total entries in the portfolio categories which represents a more than 150 percent increase in participation from the previous year.

Full contest results for all categories will be published following the conclusion of the Special Awards Luncheon on June 11.
