Our 2025 CSC Unite convention officially kicked off on Sunday, June 8 at the World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando!
CSC members assembled in Orlando, Florida, for the eighth time in the history of the storied event dating back to 1957. Now together, under one roof, CSC members spent the first day of the convention sharing what they learned over the past year, presenting new ideas to their peers, and telling the stories —
their stories — that have shined behind the scenes throughout their time apart.
The convention began with an interative meet-and-greet for first time attendees before officially kicking off with a welcome from CSC President Kevin Trainor and Executive Director Jason Yaman. The CSC Unite welcome was immediately followed by a featured presentation led by Jonathan Gantt, founder of Gantt, C.S., who has been at the forefront of the digital transformation in pro and college sports, alongside ESPN’s Elliott Munoz and Luke Knox. Gantt will be contributing to the CSC/NACMA collaborative session on Tuesday, June 10 that involves tailoring content strategies and managing communications across multiple channels.
Dr. Jen Fry, founder of JenFryTalks, led two relevant sessions that tackled how to navigate conflict in the college sports industry and forge a culture that empowers people both now and in the future.
Those in attendance then got to experience a plethora of Educational Lounges scattered around the campus, including Adobe Solutions’ “Adobe Express: What can it do for you?” and ESPN’s “The future of college stats on ESPN,” which saw rooms overflowing with listeners. At Speed Networking sessions, presented by the Young Professionals Committee, attendees had the opportunity to further develop their communication skills while building vital connections with others in the industry.
The day concluded with several more opportunities for attendees to network and socialize. Beginning with the annual CSC Welcome Reception, presented by Athlyte, and continuing with an engaging, energetic crowd at FanWord Trivia Night, our members connected, competed, and capped off an eventful first day of convention excitement!
