ON-DEMAND WEBINAR

Working with volleyball stats & stat rules
Rewind to our on-demand statistical best practices and stats rules webinar series

Originally airing on October 3, 2023, this expert-led webinar from our CSC Statistics and Stat Rules Series remains a must-watch for athletic communications professionals in the midst of volleyball season.

While the core principles of volleyball stat reporting have remained the same, the libero rule has changed. In women’s volleyball, teams can now designate two liberos per set, but only one is allowed on the court at a time. To learn about additional NCAA women’s volleyball rule changes, please click here.

This repurposed content comes at a perfect time for you to revisit the fundamentals and sharpen your stat game before the season heats up.

This video features a discussion and insights on:

  • How to correctly apply college volleyball rules in stat reporting
  • Best practices for pregame setup, stat crew coordination, and post-match file sharing
  • In-game scoring techniques: entering starters, resolving unclear plays, and recording accurate stats
  • A visual review of official hand signals for plays, numbers, and substitution
  • Troubleshooting unusual plays and ensuring stat accuracy in real time
  • Collaborative tips for editing game files and working with fellow SID
Speakers include:
  • Mark Albanese (Moderator) – Director of Sports Communication - Pacific Lutheran University
