This session is designed to reinforce foundational knowledge and strengthen understanding of how women’s lacrosse rules apply to statkeeping across all divisional levels and levels of expertise.
This video features a discussion and insights on:
- Pregame preparation including roster setup, assigning stat crew roles, and collaborating effectively with your opponent’s SID
- In-game scoring techniques such as entering starters, resolving unclear plays, and recording accurate statistics
- Definitions and applications of key stat terms specific to women’s lacrosse, with comparisons to men’s rules
- Strategies for troubleshooting unusual or difficult plays and maintaining stat accuracy throughout the game
- Best practices for editing game files, communicating with coaches during and after matches, and working with fellow SIDs postgame
- Guidance on sources to use when uncertain about a play, and how to ensure consistent reporting
