Trends & Practices in Social Media

A discussion about some topics in the social media landscape, which seems to change on a daily basis. Anderson discussed video streaming in the social media space, including some experience his office has had experimenting with Periscope and Meerkat to provide more immersive experiences for fans. Dahl addressed the use of trackable links on Instagram, while Petroff reviewed the basics of student-athlete monitoring on social media and spoke on how to monitor the student-athlete without being invasive and what tools should we be using to do it.
