For the ninth consecutive year, CoSIDA and the Goodwill and Wellness Committee are set to host a charity 5K run and 2-mile walk at the annual convention in Orlando. Over the history of the event, it has raised over $21,000 for charity.
Last year in Washington D.C., racers enjoyed a beautiful view along the Potomac River. A record 291 people either walked, ran, or donated to the race; raising $5,379 that was donated to local charity
Martha’s Table to help further its programs in assisting the D.C. community. Mark Albanese, from Pacific Lutheran University, was the top male finisher while Mary Kate Curran, of St, Lawrence University, was the top female finisher.
“We are thrilled to host our ninth 5K event at the annual convention,” said
Jeremy Rosenthal, CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee member and coordinator of the 5K. “It has been amazing to see our members come together for this fun and worthwhile event.”

Money raised from the 5K Run/2-Mile Walk will support the CoSIDA Goodwill and Wellness Committee community service project with
Samaritan’s Feet.
Samaritan's Feet is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian aid organization that shares a message of hope and love through washing the feet of impoverished children around the world and adorning them with new shoes.
CoSIDA volunteers will travel to downtown Orlando on Monday afternoon (June 10) to
Frontline Outreach and provide new shoes to 200 kids. For more information on the community service project click
