The CoSIDA Job Seekers/Career Center session at the 2020 CoSIDA Convention is designed is to give both job seekers and job presenters more personal interactions with each other, while being more efficient with everyone’s time.
This session will benefit both job seekers and job presenters. Session attendees will want to be prepared appropriately. As we get closer to the convention, a detailed schedule of times will be posted here to breakdown presenters by position type (intern, graduate assistants, assistant/associate directors, directors and above, etc.). Additionally, follow
@CoSIDAJobs on Twitter to keep up to date on all openings in CoSIDA.
For Job Seekers
Job seekers will have the chance to hear from each presenter in the position type they are interested in (intern, graduate assistants, assistant/associate directors, directors and above, etc.). Job seekers will cycle through in small group settings with each opening and hear a 3-5 minute presentation about each opening. They will have a chance to ask questions and interact with the job presenters for each position. We are encouraging job seekers to bring the necessary tools to follow up with presenters, including key items such as business cards and/or resumes.
For Job Holders
Job holders will be broken down into the various types (intern, graduate assistants, assistant/associate directors, directors and above, etc.) and will be assigned a time slot where they will present to targeted job seekers. Please be prepared to have a copy of your job description and have remarks ready for a 3-5 minute window to present to an interested audience. There will be a short time after your talk for questions and interactions. We will cycle through small groups depending on the number of signed up job seekers for your specified level of position.
For questions about the session, contact Job Seekers Committee member Matt McCollester at
matt.mccollester@richmond.edu.
NOTE: All jobs MUST be sent to Beau White on the CoSIDA staff for posting on CoSIDA.com in advance of signing up to present at the convention.
