CSC Pride Mission Statement
CSC Pride is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive space within College Sports Communicators (CSC), its LGBTQIA+ community, and its allies through advocacy, empowerment, and education.

Values
CSC Pride addresses the special needs of LGBTQIA+ college sports communicators, creatives, and their allies. These values serve as a compass for CSC Pride’s actions.
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, multicultural environment within the college sports communicators and creatives realm to promote and affirm LGBTQIA+ identities.
  • Build relationships with LGBTQIA+ members and their allies, as well as student-athletes, coaches, and administrators in college athletics.
  • Raise awareness about regarding LGBTQIA+ issues and connect with other organizations to increase professional and personal development efforts.
  • Expand a thriving LGBTQIA+ network that supports the growth of athletics communicators and creatives.
  • Educate through the lens of intersectionality and embrace diverse identities through collaboration with other CSC affinity groups.

Why is the group important to CSC?
CSC Pride is essential to CSC because:
  • Provide LGBTQIA+ college sports communicators, creatives, and allies with a sense of belonging within the organization.
  • Increase CSC Membership as well as retention of members.
  • Professional development for all CSC members through representation at the CSC convention and regular CSC Pride meetings.
  • Safe space for any CSC members who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies.
