CSC announces national staff reorganization; hiring for new full-time staff position

Entering his second full year as Executive Director for College Sports Communicators,
Erik Christianson has announced a reorganization of national staff responsibilities, including the posting of a new full-time position.
“Our greatest resource is our people,” Christianson said. “These changes will continue to position our current staff for success and position CSC to better serve its members and live out its brand everyday as the preeminent national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators at all levels of college sports.”
The updates to the CSC staff are outlined below and effective immediately.
Associate Executive Director
Will Roleson will lead CSC’s operations team. Joining Roleson in these responsibilities will be Director of Operations and Professional Development
Barb Kowal and CSC Secretary
Jeff Hodges.
The operations team will have primary oversight of year-round membership services, including membership renewals, professional development, convention planning and other programs. Kowal is the primary contact for Academic All-America® member nominations and voting.
Beau White will lead the communications team as director of communications and brand strategy. He will be supported by a new assistant director of communications and creative content.
That position is posted on the CSC Career Center with an application deadline of Nov. 17, 2023.
The communications team will collaborate on strategic planning, development and execution of a comprehensive cross-platform content strategy for CSC’s year-round programming, the CSC Unite annual convention, and the Academic All-America® program. It will specifically oversee all digital and social platforms and content along with proactive and reactive communications.
CSC also will again hire an intern in early 2024 through the June convention. The intern will support all initiatives and programs as assigned and serve on the #CSCUnite24 content team.
All CSC staff will continue to support the organization’s committees and member programs.
