Greetings College Sports Communicators, and welcome to 2026.
First off, my apologies for the lack of a "CSC with PC" for the month of December. It was busy, as I know the holidays tend to be for everyone in our profession. I am hopeful you all enjoyed time away from the office with friends and family. Or at the very least, the chance to relax and recharge.
To our recent CSC meetings at the NCAA Convention in National Harbor, Maryland -- between our programming and #CSCUnite26 discussions, our group was fortunate to meet with members of the national media, as well as conduct a panel on the communications profession with athletics directors from around the country. Thank you to these individuals for spending time with CSC and offering their insights.
Our organization has a number of active contests and deadlines approaching.
Applications close on Jan. 21 for two #CSCUnite attendance grant opportunities, both from CSC and the NCAA. Get these submitted as soon as possible.
The 2025-26 Creative & Digital Design Contest is open. Submissions for the Photographer, Designer and Videographer of the Year portfolio contests are due April 6. All submissions for general contests must be submitted before May 1. You must be a current 2025-26 member to enter.
The Fred Stabley, Sr. Writing Contest is open through Jan. 31. Get those submissions in by Midnight.
And also open right now - the 2025-26 ChangeMaker Innovation Awards. Submissions will close April 15 at Midnight.
Finally, I would like to extend both gratitude and congratulations to our recently announced 2026 Special Awards honorees and specifically the Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Thank you for all you've done for our profession and for College Sports Communicators.
