Winners to be announced on stage in Las Vegas at CSC Unite 2026

GOLDEN, Colorado — The College Sports Communicators Creative & Digital Design Contest committee is pleased to announce the finalists for its 2025-26 portfolio contests in the categories of Designer, Photographer and Videographer of the Year.

Winners of these contests will be announced live on-stage during the Special Awards Luncheon at CSC Unite 2026 on Wednesday, June 10 at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“On behalf of myself, contest leadership and our esteemed group of reviewers, I would like to congratulate each and every one of our finalists for the portfolio contests of the 2025-26 CSC Creative & Digital Design Contest,” said contest chair Patrick Murphy of the Colorado School of Mines. “As the interest level and talent level in this contest both continue to rise, the job of determining the best of the best in the digital and creative space gets tougher every year. Our finalists have set themselves apart from their peers by demonstrating excellence in their craft and providing the highest quality of coverage for their student-athletes.”

This year’s portfolio contests featured a total of 195 entries, up from 173 a year ago. A total of 50 entries were received from the University Division while 145 entries came from the College Division. The University Division featured 22 Photographer of the Year, 21 Designer of the Year and seven Videographer of the Year entries. The College Division meanwhile featured 67 Photographer of the Year, 55 Designer of the Year and 23 Videographer of the Year entries.

In the third year of the CSC Portfolio Contests, 13 individuals are repeat finalists including Emir Atli, Jaxon Bast, Hayden Foltz, Brett Foreman, Morgan Givens, Caroline Gerke, Rebecca Hanson, Joe Hausman, Alex Kline, Jordan Lester, Jared McFarlane, Jordan Modjeski and Brendall Vargas.

In the University Division, Oklahoma repeats with two Photographer of the Year finalists and also features a Designer of the Year finalist, while Miami (FL), Clemson and Union (NY) are also represented. Oklahoma State landed a finalist in both Designer of the Year and Videographer of the Year with Kansas repeating with a Designer of the Year finalist. Talent from the SEC was in abundance, as Georgia, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt also featured finalists.

In the College Division, MSU Moorhead makes a third consecutive appearance in the Designer of the Year Contest with two finalists, while Nova Southeastern makes repeat appearances in Photographer and Designer of the Year. Black Hills State has multiple finalists in the Photographer of the Year Contest while Lenoir-Rhyne has finalists in both Photographer and Videographer of the Year Contests. Ottawa (Canada) and the Great Lake Valley Conference also repeat with appearances as finalists in Photographer of the Year while Cal Poly Pomona returns to the Designer of the Year Contest. William Penn makes it three consecutive years with a finalist in one of the three College Division Contests with second Photographer of the Year candidate in the last three years.

A total of 31 schools and/or conferences are represented by this year’s group of finalists and includes entries from across the CSC membership.

Winners of these portfolio contests who are in attendance at CSC Unite 2026 will be presented with their awards on stage during the Special Awards luncheon on June 10.

The number of finalists for each contest is determined by the number of entries in each category, and all finalists represent the number of places that will be recognized for each category. For the College Division, “Best Of” honors will be bestowed upon the top finishers from each subdivision also based on the number of entries received.

Full contest results for all categories will be published following the conclusion of the Special Awards Luncheon on June 10.

All registered CSC Unite 2026 attendees can attend the Special Awards Luncheon on June 10 with their convention badge. Those without a CSC Unite 2026 convention badge may purchase guest tickets to the event at CollegeSportsCommunicators.com/tickets.
