Hey there, College Sports Communicators!
This is your 2025-26 president, Patrick Crawford, with your October updates. Because I’m always on the go, I attempted to bring you along with me in my October video as I moved about the past week and weekend.
The big update: I am a new dad. My wife Alyssa and I welcomed our first child on September 13. Of course, Colin Crawford chose a college football Saturday for his arrival. I have yet to show him Photoshop, InDesign, Twitter or Instagram. But, we have gone to Target. He’ll be working on LEGO sets with Dad soon enough.
Let me run down a few quick CSC reminders:
- Get your CSC memberships renewed for the 2025-26 year! Your school, conference office or organization cannot fully participate in the numerous offerings and benefits of membership without getting that squared away for the year. That includes Academic All-District nominations and voting, Academic All-America® awards, our numerous career recognition awards and so many professional development opportunities.
- The nomination process for the increasingly popular 30 Under 30 award is underway. To get a nomination in for the Class of 2025, please submit by Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025 at Midnight (ET).
- Speaking of Academic All-America, nominations for this year’s inductees into the Academic All-America® Hall of Fame are due on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025 at Midnight (ET).
- Looking ahead to next month, Membership Appreciation Week runs from Nov. 4-9, 2025. Graphic templates, flyers, broadcast ready scripts and videos, and other materials are available!
- And a shoutout, CSC’s professional development committee has great stat-keeping content available. Check out those webinars and more on CSCommunicators.com/ProfessionalDevelopment.
