Registration and hotel reservations for #CSCUNITE23 — the new name of our annual convention — opens Feb. 15 at Noon (ET)

by Will Roleson – College Sports Communicators, Associate Executive Director  @wroleson

With the name change to College Sports Communicators and the recent launch of our new brand in early January, CSC is excited to announce the evolution of our annual convention to CSC UNITE. The 2023 event in Orlando in mid-June will be known as #CSCUNITE23.

“UNITE” is an energizing word that captures the essence of today’s College Sports Communicators. The convention is the one time each year when we UNITE in person with our colleagues from across the country to network, learn and celebrate, and it’s there that we UNITE with our corporate partners, stakeholders, and the other affiliate associations throughout college athletics. And, much like the All-In membership model and new name, CSC UNITE seeks to bring together all communicators and creators for an exciting four days.

“As we have embarked and embraced a season of change in our organization, CSC UNITE is our next step. Over the course of the last several years, our organization has looked to ‘unite’ the storytellers of college athletics. We changed our governance structure so we have more people able to actively participate in governance and leadership, we restructured our membership model so that it's more inclusive to everyone who tells stories and we have changed our name and started a rebranding project, all in an effort to "unite" those who tell the stories of college athletics,” said 2022-23 CSC President Jessica Poole.

“Our annual convention is one that we all look forward to because it unites our family. This name change continues to help us showcase globally that we are a group of storytellers, no matter the medium, who are united in purpose, mission and vision.”

After four years, CSC UNITE23 will be back in Orlando at the World Center Marriott, which has hosted our convention five times since 2013 when CSC first paired with NACDA and affiliates for the annual gathering.

“Our organization continues to look to the future, and the development of CSC UNITE as the name of our convention is the latest tangible expression of how we will live out our brand as the communicators of college sports,” said Executive Director Erik Christianson. “We know that our members look to our convention as a place to learn, connect and reconnect, and we are excited about how CSC UNITE will gather together and further unify our diverse membership as we experience record-setting growth in our organization."
