Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® College Sports Communicators members have the exclusive privilege to nominate and vote for the best student-athletes in the U.S. and Canada through the prestious Academic All-America program. College Sports Communicators Hall of Fame & Special Awards
Each year, we solicit nominations for the College Sports Communicators Special Awards program as we honor those in the membership and outside the membership with recognition for distinguished service, work and achievement. Our Special Awards are presented annually during our summer conventions. The Hall of Fame is for members of College Sports Communicators who have made outstanding contributions to the field of college athletics communications, and is voted on by current CSC Hall of Fame members. Learn more

Academic All-America Hall of Fame®
Created in 1988, the Academic All-America® Hall of Fame, selected by College Sports Communicators recognizes Academic All-Americas® who have achieved lifetime success in their professional careers and are committed to philanthropic causes in the communities where they reside. Four or five deserving candidates are inducted at an annual awards ceremony. Learn more here.

30 Under 30 Recognition
Created in 2022, 30 Under 30 recognizes outstanding and emerging young professionals throughout the membership. Candidates are considered based on achievement in one or more areas such as professional success, impact on their athletic department/conference office and/or service to College Sports Communicators. ChangeMaker Innovation Awards
  • Nominations closed: May 3, 2024 Midnight (ET)
This award was created in the spring of 2021 to recognize individual members or staffs who have created and managed innovative content during the current academic year. The purpose is to recognize forward-thinkers who bring new ideas to life — and strengthen the position of our members and our work — with special content, a branding and messaging campaign, new storyteller packages, social media initiatives, a digital series, new event coverage/game management strategies, etc. Learn more at CSCommunicators.com/ChangeMaker

Creative & Digital Design Contests
  • Nominations closed: “Portfolio” contests - April 8 at Midnight (ET); General contests - May 3 at Midnight (ET)
College Sports Communicators sponsors a variety of publication and digital design contests for its members, with members at every level having the opportunity to receive recognition for their work. It's no small honor to earn an award since the judging is done by news media/communications professionals who use those publications in their work. There are multiple deadlines throughout the year with winners being announced around the annual convention. Learn more at CSCommunicators.com/DesignContest

Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest
  • Nominations closed: Jan. 31, 2024
District and national winners are announced each year in multiple categories in the Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest. Entries are typically due in January and must have been published in the previous calendar year (January-December). Winners are announced each spring. Learn more at CSCommunicators.com/Stabley

Scholarships & Grants Program
  • Nominations closed
CSC sponsors multiple individual and institutional scholarships and grants to assist with higher education expenses for members, plus member-child scholarships. Applications are typically due in April. Learn more at CSCommunicators.com/Scholarships

CSC Unite Convention Grant
  • Nominations closed
Each year members are able to apply for a convention attendance grant. The grant covers any convention related expenses up to a determined dollar amount. Information about the convention is available on the #CSCUNITE24 convention page. Learn more about grant opportunities

National Championship Communicators Awards Program
Since 2016, College Sports Communicators has honored athletics communications professionals of national championship teams through its National Championship Communicators Awards program. The program recognizes CSC members whose teams win national championships across all collegiate divisions including NCAA Divisions I, II and III; NAIA, U Sports (Canada) and NJCAA national champions.
