This year, CSC will again partner with Frontline Outreach for its annual community service project through the efforts of the Goodwill & Wellness Committee. A small group of volunteers will work with students at the Frontline Innovation Studios on Monday, June 12, from 9-11:30 AM.

CSC U Camp to be held on June 1-2; registration is FREE for this virtual event
The CSC U Camp helps undergrads and new professionals alike understand the nuts and bolts of the profession. This year's camp will be held virtually June 1-2, with two daily sessions. There is no cost to participate, but registration is required.

The challenges and opportunities of battling mid-career malaise
Research shows that the mid-career employee segment, not the entry- or junior-level employee segment, is the largest group leaving jobs today. This group — roughly representing those who have put 10 to 25 years in their careers — are leading the disruption in the “Great Resignation” trend. Adding to their demands at work, this demographic tends to be responsible for managing responsibilities at home and in their community, too. Professionals at this point in their career have acquired knowledge and experience, are thinking about the next step in their career, and often question what their next 10, 20, or 30 years in the workforce are going to look like. Hear from seven CSC members, all mid-career communicators, on these topics.

Young professionals spotlight: Three up, three down with Haley Fox
Haley Fox is currently in the midst of her sixth year on staff at St. Ambrose University, joining the department as a graduate assistant in August of 2017 before being appointed as the full time Assistant Sports Information Director in July of 2019. A former radio sales assistant with iHeartMedia, Fox got into the industry by reaching out to St. Ambrose about GA programs. After getting her MBA, she stayed on as a full-time SID.

Since 2016, College Sports Communicators has honored athletics communications professionals of national championship teams through its National Champion Communicators program. The program recognizes athletics communicators and creatives whose teams win national championships across all collegiate divisions including NCAA Divisions I, II and III; NAIA, U Sports (Canada) and NJCAA national champions.

Academic All-America® awards program debuts for spring sports with a few twists
Men’s and women’s tennis debuted as a standalone contest this spring for Academic All-American recognition for student-athletes with nominations via a Google Form. National voting is also scheduled to take place through a Google Form. The Academic All-America Core Committee is exploring nominating and voting options allowing members to participate more efficiently and effectively. This beta test via Google Forms is the first of several exploratory efforts this spring.
Important Dates for Tennis
- Academic All-District® teams announced May 9 at Noon (ET)
- National voting opens May 9 at Noon (ET) through May 16 at 11:59 PM (ET) (conducted via a Google Form)
- Academic All-America teams announced for men's tennis May 31 at Noon (ET)
- Academic All-America teams announced for women's tennis June 1 at Noon (ET)

CSC Career Center job postings rates to increase July 1
Effective July 1, rates for job postings on the CSC Career Center website will see a modest increase. The new price for current members will be $150 for single 60-day postings, and the non-member rate will be $300. The increase is the first since 2013-14.
